Junior Brookelle Holby threw a no-hitter against Peters Township to lead the softball team to an 11-0 victory on Saturday.

The Highlanders were dominant throughout the game, Holby said.

“We played very well,” she said.

While throwing a no-hitter is impressive, Holby said did not do it on her own. The team had her back.

“Our infield played really well and kept the ball from going to the outfield,” Holby said.

Junior Maleah Pacella complimented Holby’s accomplishment.

“She did an amazing job pitching,” Pacella said. “It wasn’t surprising in that she was going to do good on the mound, but the no-hitter was really unexpected and a great accomplishment for her”

Holby, meanwhile, said Pacella played a great game in the field.

“Maleah made a few really nice plays,” Holby said.
