The K-drama Sisyphus: The Myth, has a different overall genre than most K-dramas that have been released.

The series focuses on the founder of Quantum and Time, Han Tae Sul, who is an engineer. He causes much trouble at his company after his brother’s death, and he wants to invent a time travel machine. Tae Sul then witnesses something he has never seen and goes on a journey to find the truth.

Before the time travel machine is made, the world becomes a destination for immigrants from a post-apocalyptic future. People fall out of the sky and have a mission they have to accomplish in the present world. They have usually regretted something in their life and are trying to fix it.

After the immigrants land somewhere, they are supposed to be free, but before they can do anything, the Control Bureau finds them and takes them away. The Control Bureau wants to prevent Tae Sul from making the time machine, by assassinating him. A survivor of a future injustice, Kang Seo Hae, travels back into the world to save Tae Sul, but the Control Bureau is trying to capture her.

Since the show is not a typical rom-com, it is engaging and eye-opening. The actors do an outstanding job with their roles, which makes the story better.

Overall, Sisyphus: The Myth teaches the audience to try to escape from failures rather than accepting them, and to keep going on with life, never giving in.

The series is available on Netflix and Dramahood.
