Junior Eddie Nowicki stopped all 46 shots he faced as the ice hockey team defeated Montour on Monday night to remain unbeaten on the season.

The final score was 3-0. Senior Keith Reed got two goals for the Highlanders, and junior Collin Kuch scored the game-winner.

Junior Lorenzo Shipley applauded another key performance from Nowicki.

“Eddie has been amazing to play with this season,” Shipley said. “He is an amazing goalie and keeps us in every game.”

Shipley also said the line of Kuch, Tanner Plinta, and Nick Buys had a solid performance last night.

“They also had an amazing game,” Shipley said.

Neither team scored during the first two periods.

“It was a very tense game into the third because it was scoreless,” Shipley said. “But we calmed down and got back to our game and pulled away in the third.”

Baldwin remains undefeated, with an overall record of 11-0.

The ice hockey team’s next game will be at 9 p.m. Feb. 18 at Ice Castle.
