The Baldwin boys and girls swim teams lost to Fox Chapel on Thursday.

Although Fox Chapel traditionally has a very strong program, diver Abbey Herrle and swimmer Dylan Stokes had strong performances for the Highlanders.

“Dylan Stokes had a very good meet,” freshman Mika Diethorn said.

Even when facing such difficult competition, swimmers and divers can focus on improving their scores and times. Diethorn said that’s what he did on Thursday.

“I did pretty well, I think. I think I beat my 200 meter time,” Mika said. “I have swum the 500 meter at every meet. I am hoping I can improve my time on that this season.”

The Baldwin swim teams’ next meet is Tuesday at Peters Township High School.
