The Baldwin boys and girls swim teams lost to Shaler on Tuesday.

The girls team in particular competed well and finished only a few points behind, junior Ava-Jo Russin said.

“Freshman Kameron Locy has been doing very well at all the meets and keeps improving each time,” Russin said.

Although the boys team did not get the outcome they wanted either, freshman Evan Stokes has stood out in the breaststroke event, Russin said.

Both teams’ goal is to come together and enjoy this season despite everything going on with the pandemic.

“We really make it a great environment for everyone to enjoy,” Russin said. “As a whole we support each other and focus on helping each other out.”

The swim teams will compete against Mount Lebanon Thursday night.
