Pittsburgh native and Los Angeles based rapper Wiz Khalifa seems to have a blueprint for whatever project he releases: He’s going to stick to the original flow that he’s always had, he’s going to have at least one song that could fit in on a classic Snoop or Bone Thugs album, and he’s going to have at least one of his Taylor Gang affiliate performers have a feature or two.

Wiz seems to be comfortable with that formula, and that couldn’t be more evident on his new project, The Saga of Wiz Khalifa

Wiz had teased about the possibility of an album dropping earlier in the week, and on Saturday he made the announcement official via Twitter, saying the album would be released today.

The album is simple, with just seven tracks, but it includes a number of notable featured artists, including Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, Quavo, and Logic, amongst others.

The project carries a laid-back vibe, and the production value is on point, with mentor E.Dan of ID Labs mixing the album.

Once again, this is a Wiz album that is not going to shatter records or change the way hip hop is produced. But Wiz Khalifa sticks to his niche and always creates a fun project for the diehard and casual fans alike.
