The boys 200 meter freestyle relay team has qualified for WPIALs.

The swim team had a meet on Thursday against Oakland Catholic and Central Catholic, and the Baldwin boys relay team beat the WPIAL qualifying time.

The relay team consists of senior Joey Weber, junior Dylan Stokes, sophomore Kevin Weber, and freshman Nolan Erimias.

This will be Joey Weber’s second time competing at WPIALs.

“I’m really excited and looking forward to it,” Weber said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Stokes will be making his first trip to WPIALs.

“I’ve heard it’s crazy and something that you can only experience there,” Stokes said.

WPIALs will be held Feb. 27. The relay team will be busy until then, he said.

“We have two weeks of practice, so during that time we’ll be training really hard,” Stokes said.
