Baldwin’s inline hockey team bounced back in its playoff series over the weekend, beating Hempfield 9-4 to even the series at a game apiece.

Seniors James Dulya and Josh Soberaski and junior Zak Sealey all had standout games for Baldwin.

Senior Vinny Episcopo said the team had a better approach in the second game.

“We came in more focused on defense, locking it down and not letting the same mistakes from last game come back to hurt us,” Episcopo said.

Episcopo said the team wasn’t focused on defense in their first match-up, and the Highlanders knew that they needed to tighten up their play.

The team will play the deciding game of the series against Hempfield on Saturday. The winning team goes on to play in the championship
