The NBA is in its second season of using the play-in tournament and it has started the playoffs off hot this year.

Baldwin girls basketball rolled over section rivals Canon Mac, 67-38, on Monday night.

The Highlanders dominated the game offensively and used the press break to perfection. They got a lot of turnovers that turned into points.

“Our defense was also very good, forcing them to turn over the ball a lot,” senior Jenna Lutz said.

Some standouts were juniors Meghan Dryburgh and Kayla Radomsky and sophomore Emily Hillgartner.

As the end of the season nears, the girls are shifting their focus to their playoff push.

“We just need to fix some small things, like rotation and getting out of traps. It is nothing major — just some small touch-ups,” Lutz said.

The team as of right now is on the edge of the playoffs and it is ready to fight till the end.

They play Connellsville next on Thursday.
