The girls volleyball team beat Oakland Catholic 3-0 on Thursday night.

This section win improves the team’s record to 2-0 on the young season.

Senior Mia Hampsay said the team played really well overall, and that the Highlanders need to stay uptempo at all times.

“We need to keep up our energy and never take a point off,” Hampsay said.

Hampsay also said that seniors Allison Murray and Anna Baloh played exceptionally well for the Highlanders.

“They were crucial to the win and motivated the rest of us to play better,” Hampsay said.

The girls’ next game is against Upper Saint Clair at home on Tuesday, where they will hope to improve their record to 3-0.
