After various joint musical projects, singer-songwriters Jeremy Zucker and Chelsea Cutler have finally released their first collaborative EP, titled Brent.

Over the past few years, Zucker has written and released many singles that have reached a staggering 80 million streams overall on Spotify. Cutler has gained a fan base through her numerous successful covers on Soundcloud, as well as her recent album, Sleeping With Roses.

The two artists joined together in late December to begin writing the EP in a remote cabin in upstate Connecticut. It reflects on aspects of love and intimate relationships, as well as breakups.

Their song “Hello Old Friend” is based on memories and nostalgia that one usually experiences post-breakup. Similarly, their song “Scared” tells the story of a relationship that is much messier and more complex than those often portrayed in a typical breakup song.

Zucker and Cutler have said they hope this EP can give fans a sense of relatability with messages expressed in their songs, especially because it is infused with the artists’ personal experiences.

With these artists having over 15 millions streams collectively, it can be predicted that this EP will only increase success for both of them and broaden their fan bases.
