UThe boys volleyball team dropped a tough home match against Upper St Clair Thursday night by a score of 3-1.

Despite the loss, there were positives to take from the first game and the match as a whole.

“We had good passing the first game,” senior Colin Poe said. “Russell (Cyprowski) and Zach (Remlinger) did well, and Colton (Barr) had a lot of digs.”

The Highlanders are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, so they are looking forward to the next week of matches.

“We have two matches left — one against Peters Township and the other against Bethel Park,” Poe said. “We’re going to practice hard, look at the old film, and try to defeat Peters again.”

Those matches will be played on Tuesday and Thursday night this week.
