The boys volleyball team led Canon-McMillan during the deciding fifth set on Thursday, but fell behind and lost the match, 3-2.

Senior outside hitter Tyler Gurchak said the Highlanders put in the most effort they had in any game throughout the season.

Gurchak commended juniors Mark Campana and Sujan Dangal for their performances during the game. Campana did a good job blocking and Dangal had some great spikes, Gurchak said.

Gurchak said the loss brought the team together. Senior outside hitter Jacob Kemerer agreed, saying the team’s morale is strong.

Gurchak and Kemerer both said the team needs to continue to improve communication.
