The Baldwin boys baseball team will be looking to rebound after suffering a 7-0 loss at Peters Township Wednesday night.

Seniors Ryan Butler and Andy Sopata said the team did not necessarily play poorly, but they could improve.

“Our defense was pretty solid,” Butler said. “No one played bad, but we just got outplayed.”

Being down only 1-0 for the majority of the game, they were feeling positive about their play until the fifth inning.

“It’s a mental struggle right now,” Sopata said.

However, the one thing that the team wants to work on is its hitting.

“Our hitting can definitely improve,” Butler said.

Sopata agreed, saying improving their hitting will help them in their upcoming games.

The team plays Upper St. Clair at home on Friday night.
