The softball team soundly defeated Peters Township on Tuesday, 15-0.

The game ended after three innings due to the “mercy rule.”.

“We had really good communication,” senior Addie Tagg said. “This was probably the best game we’ve played so far.”

Tagg pitched for the entire game and hit a home run.

Baldwin scored six runs in the first inning. Tagg said Baldwin and Peters Township are usually evenly matched, but for this game, Baldwin came out on top.

Some standout players included freshman Maleah Pacella and junior Salena Jaquay. But it was a team win, players said.

“We had really great hits and we were talkative,” sophomore Beatrice Cook said.

Tagg and Cook agree that the team still needs to work more on baserunning.

The girls play an away game against Brashear today.
