The debate over whether EarPods with wires are better than the new AirPods has been going on for awhile now, and the question remains unanswered: Which is better?

Many people would argue that AirPods are better because they are trendy among teenagers. But anyone who takes a step back and looks at the whole picture will see that EarPods have more benefits.

AirPods cannot save phones from falling, since they are wireless. When iPhones slip out of the hands of users, there is an unsettling moment of panic as the phone heads toward the floor. But with EarPods, phones are graciously saved by the wire from crashing to the ground.

The cost of the wireless headphones is too expensive at $160. The EarPods are only at $30, and a free pair comes with an iPhone when it is purchased. If something happens with AirPods, it is another $69 to replace them.

EarPods have more to offer in music playback options, with physical controls such as playing and pausing, volume control, skipping songs, and playing previous songs. AirPods have a limited number of these controls and users are only allowed to select two functions at at time.

Granted, there is a disadvantage to EarPods for users of iPhone 7 and up, because Apple removed the headphone jack. So it is not possible to use the EarPods and charge a phone at the same time.

Yet the hassle of charging a phone and AirPods is just too much. EarPods do not have to be recharged at all — they just connect to the iPhone.

Considering all of the factors, overpriced AirPods do not compare to the classic EarPods that Apple fans have used for years.
