The boys volleyball team played well in a round robin scrimmage Tuesday night against Plum, Norwin, and Deer Lakes.

The boys beat Plum and Deer Lakes, but lost to a strong Norwin team.

Senior Jake Kemerer said the players learned a lot from the scrimmage and that they know what they need to improve on now.

“We need to focus on communicating more during the game and to hustle more,” Kemerer said.

Kemerer said senior Russell Cyprowski stood out during the scrimmage.

“We played most of the scrimmage without our main setter, and Russell stepped up really well,” Kemerer said.

Kemerer said that the team’s expectations have grown since last year’s playoff appearance.

“We want to take it to another level this year by making it farther in the playoffs,” Kemerer said.

The boys start their regular season next Tuesday with a home game against Central Catholic.
