Two Baldwin brothers finished off the indoor track season with impressive placements in the state championships.

Brendan and Bailey O’Malley both competed in the PTFCA Indoor State Championships over the weekend.

Brendan O’Malley placed third in long jump, seventh in the 200 meters, and 10th in the 400 meters. Bailey O’Malley came in 14th in shot put.

“It’s a really good way to get started with outdoor track. We are only halfway through the track season now,” Brendan O’Malley said.

Brendan O’Malley sees himself as a favorite for all three of the same categories for the WPIAL outdoor track season.

For the O’Malley twins, it was the end to successful careers for indoor track.

“It was a good three years, but it was a great finish to my career,” he said.

Outdoor track begins practice on Monday, where the O’Malley twins will look to cap off successful outdoor careers as well.
