The girls basketball team went out on a high note on Monday, wrapping up the season with an impressive win over Ringgold.

The team competed strongly as a team to earn a final win by a score of 67-49.

Overall, the season had many ups and downs, which would be expected from a team so young. Sophomore Anna Lucarelli thought of the end of the season as bittersweet, but expects major improvement for next year.

“Next season we have a goal of making playoffs and competing. We will build off this year and earn more wins,” Lucarelli said.

The team finishes with an overall record of 9-13 and a section record of 3-11.

The team will be more experienced next year, with every player returning for the Highlanders.

“Now that the new coaches and players have a year under their belts, we will come back stronger,” Lucarelli said.
