The girls gymnastics team fell short in its competition against Moon over the weekend, but earned enough points to clinch a spot in WPIALs.

“Freshman Mia Dougherty stepped up to the plate for us and helped us secure the spot,” freshman Kaylee Garofalo said.

With a clinched spot in WPIALs, the team remains hopeful to improve for the remainder of the postseason and keep a positive attitude.

“We need to work on a little bit of our bar routine to improve in general,” Garofalo said.

The WPIAL team competition is this Friday, and the individual competition is this Saturday.
