The Baldwin girls basketball team dropped its first section game to Peters Township on Thursday night.

Sophomore Lexi Bernotas said the loss could be chalked up to Peters’ experience.

“They are all seniors except for one freshman on the team,” Bernotas said

The loss came to one of the most talented teams in the section, as three out of the five starters for Peters are taking their talents to Division I schools in college.

The Highlanders’ next game is against Canon Mac on Monday night.

“We’ll watch film over the weekend. We just have to put this behind us,” Bernotas said.
