The boys varsity hockey team lost 3-2 to an undefeated Pine-Richland team Monday night at Ice Castle.

Sophomore Keith Reed and junior Zackary Pender scored Baldwin’s two goals.

“Keith stepped up and scored a power play goal for the team,” Pender said.

The loss was a tough one, since the Highlanders had pulled to within one goal against a team that hadn’t lost yet, but the Highlanders were unable to come with a tying goal late in the game.

The team has a 3-5-1 overall record and will face Shaler in their next game on Monday at 7 p.m.

“We’re just going to work hard at practice and hopefully come out with a win,” Pender said.
