The Baldwin ice hockey team shut out divisional foe Franklin Regional 4-0 on Monday night.

The Highlanders had two goals from junior Paul Zmuda, as well as goals from sophomore Keith Reed and freshman Dom Trimbur. Senior goalie Cole Shannon got the shutout.

“The offense played well. It was the best we’ve looked all year,” Trimbur said. Meanwhile, “Cole stood on his head for us” in goal, he said.

The Highlanders have bounced back after a rough start, winning two straight and playing well.

“It felt good to get on the right track and continue winning,” Trimbur said. “We want to keep winning and playing well.”

The Highlanders look to add to their streak when they continue play next Monday away at Hampton.
