The girls volleyball team’s bid for a perfect season ended Thursday night with a 3-1 loss to Bethel Park in the final game of the season.

“It was devastating,” senior Mackenzie Meis said. “We were so close, but we have to move on and get ready for playoffs.”

The team goes into playoffs as a section champion, which will give them a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

“We can learn to focus on every point one at a time, not about future games,” Meis said. “We can’t think about getting them back next game.”

The team will find out who they play in their first game sometime before Tuesday.

“We need to take this week to recover from this loss and move our minds to winning over the next few weeks,” Meis said.
