Fans of retro video games, comics, and anime can join the Golden Gamers, a newly formed group at the high school.

The group wants to bring gamers together to take their minds off of school and relax while playing old video games.

“Our hope is to mostly bring people together through games and pop culture like anime and comics,” sophomore Molly Pack said.

Monday was the first meeting. There are currently four members, and they plan to meet every Monday in Room 321.

Each member brings in classic game consoles as well as comics, and they bond over popular anime such as Dragon Ball Z and Naruto.

“We want this club to just become a popular and relaxed place where we can just play games and have some fun,” junior Donovan McGuire said.

The group is welcoming new members to show up at any future meeting.
