The girls volleyball team continued its dominance in section play with a 3-1 win at Peters Township on Thursday night.

The team has been red hot over the last month, and now leads its section with a dominant 8-0 record.

Junior Riley Lenard played extremely well, and came through in clutch moments to help seal the victory.

“Riley was great for us last night,” senior Mackenzie Meis said. “She put the ball away whenever we needed a big point.”

The team started off strong with a 2-0 lead, but ended up dropping the third set before finishing the game in the fourth set.

“We need to start being stronger late in games and put teams away when we first get the opportunity to,” Meis said.

The team will look to keep that streak going on Tuesday night away against a strong Oakland Catholic team.

“We are going to need some strong practices to prepare for Oakland,” Meis said.
