The Baldwin girls volleyball team continued its domination of section play with a 3-1 win at Canon-Mac Thursday night.

The team started the game off hot, taking a quick 2-0 lead. Junior Mia Hampsay was a key contributor early on.

“Mia played really well for us, and she was pursuing every ball,” senior Mackenzie Meis said.

The Highlanders did have some troubles closing off the third set, as they gave up a six-point lead and ended up losing. The Highlanders then won the fourth set to take the match.

“Once we start like that, we have to stay focused,” Meis said. “It didn’t hurt us last night, but if it continues happening, it might hurt us in the future.”
