The girls volleyball team stayed hot by sweeping Upper St. Clair 3-0 on Tuesday night in a road section game.

“It was a big win for us,” senior Mackenzie Meis said. “We executed well during the game, giving us a big win.”

The team had some key contributions from juniors Allison Murray and Maggie Zandier.

“Allison dominated as she has all season for us, and Maggie had some really nice digs on the outside,” Meis said.

Meis, who was recently named a featured player of the week on the website swpavolley.com, also played well for the team.

“Kenzie has played really well over the last few weeks,” senior Kerri Herron said. “She showed up for us in a big way again last night.”

The team is now 3-0 in section play, and continues its season with a section match Thursday night at Canon-Mac.

“We just want to keep our winning streak going,” Meis said.
