The girls varsity softball team has a consolation game against Norwin at Peters Township today for a chance to place third in WPIALs and make it to state playoffs.

The team won its section, but lost in the WPIAL semifinals last week to Latrobe. The winner of today’s consolation game qualifies for states, which begin on June 4.

“I’m very proud of our success as a team this year,” senior Christina Madden said. “I hope to come back and see even more success for the underclassmen and hopefully even more titles.”
