As indicated by the title, ASAP Rocky’s new album, Testing, brings a new sound that most fans have not heard from him before. The two lead singles, “Bad Company,” featuring BlocBoy JB, and “A$AP Forever” gave a sample of what was to come on this record.

Some fans aren’t enjoying the album yet, but after multiple listens, Testing proves to be a standout record, possibly the best album of 2018 so far.

The intro, “Distorted Records,” gives listeners a perfect example of what the rest of the album is going to sound like: As its title says, distorted records.

“A$AP Forever” appears on the album, but now as a remix featuring T.I. and Kid Cudi. The features make the great song even better.

Other notable tracks include “Tony Tone,” “Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” featuring Skepta, “Gunz N Butter,” featuring Juicy J, and “Purity” with Frank Ocean and Lauryn Hill. The rest of the features include Snoop Dogg, Moby, Kodak Black, Playboi Carti, and French Montana.

Testing proves that Rocky is one of the better rappers in the generation, able to change his sound and show that he is still a standout in the popular hip-hop scene.
