The boys volleyball team took a hard loss on Tuesday against section rivals Bethel Park in a 3-0 shutout.

After being shut down relatively quickly in the first two sets, the boys rallied to make the third set closer, proving that they can play with the top teams in the section.

Senior Ben Remlinger pointed out some issues in the team’s play.

“We haven’t gotten in sync yet, and we need to trust in each other a lot more,” Remlinger said.

The team was able to remain mentally tough despite the deficit on the score sheet. However, their mental toughness wasn’t enough to get a win in the third set.

“We came out acting like we weren’t down 2-0 going into the third set,” Remlinger said, “We just tried to have a whole lot of fun.”

The team also will look for more consistency in upcoming games.

The boys are ready and energized to go into Peters Township on Thursday for their next competition.
