After a 3-0 sweep over Gateway on Monday night, the boys volleyball team looks ahead to the biggest match of the season so far as they face Bethel Park tonight.

This is the first meeting of the year between the section rivals. If Baldwin wins, it will set up a three-way tie for first among Bethel Park, Baldwin, and Canon-Mac.

“This is probably one of the most important games of the year,” junior Russell Cyprowski said.

The game provides a good test for the Highlanders, because Baldwin has not defeated Bethel for several years.

They are looking to bring the energy from last night’s game. Cyprowski said.

“We had a lot of good plays and serves from last night and look to bring that tonight,” Cyprowski said.

Cyprowski explained that the team’s strategy for tonight is to stay positive throughout the whole game and its ups and downs.

“We are there mentally. We just need to bring it physically,” Cyprowski said.
