To kick off ABCD Arts Week, students are invited to help create a mural on Monday.

ABCD stands for art, band, choir and drama. The purpose of the arts week is to bring attention to the art programs at Baldwin High School.

Arts week organizer Chris Reilsono says there is a lot to look forward to with the upcoming week’s festivities.

“I’m excited to see kids get recognition for things they normally don’t get recognized for, but should,” Reilsono said.

Monday kicks off the celebration with the art classes offering students the opportunity to contribute to painting a “Baldwin Mural” outside of the cafeterias.

The band will perform in the atriums throughout the day on Tuesday, and on Wednesday the choir will be performing during lunch periods.

To promote the spring musical, Honeymoon in Vegas, performers will be dress and act as their characters throughout the day Thursday in hopes of encouraging Baldwin students to attend the musical.

Concluding the week’s events there will be a pep rally held on Friday incorporating all of the arts.
