With a 3-0 loss to Cannon Mac on Thursday, the boys varsity volleyball team took its first loss of the season.

Before this match the boys were undefeated after beating top section teams in Peters Township and Upper Saint Clair. However, the same kind of energy just did not translate to the game Thursday night.

“There were points when we played well, and there were points where we couldn’t get anything going,” senior Dante Parente said.

The team knows their lack of focus was one of the biggest reasons they didn’t walk away with the win.

“As soon as the other team scored we lost focus and got frustrated” Parente said.

The team hopes to rebound this coming Monday when they go to play at T.J. at 7 p.m.
