After a disappointing 10-7  loss to Thomas Jefferson Monday night, the Baldwin boys varsity baseball team hopes to rebound.

“We went down early, and we didn’t start playing baseball until it was too late,” sophomore Bryce Chapla said.

Despite the loss, players like sophomore Nick Dolan and senior Kory Tierney and stood out, both hitting a home run.

“It was a game we should have won,” Chapla said.

The team started off the game with a large deficit, but eventually came back within one run, 7-6.

However, after it seemed that Baldwin was back in the game, TJ scored three runs with the bases loaded to take a 10-6 lead.

“There were some bad calls,” Chapla said. “It was a disappointing game.”

The team’s next game is against Penn Hills on Wednesday at home.
