Girls lacrosse loses to Peters Township

Baldwin girls varsity lacrosse suffered a tough loss to Peters Township by a score of 18-5 on Monday night.

“Going in we knew it was going to be a tough game,” junior Grace Delallo said.

Overall the team struggled with communication as they were not talking enough on the field, Delallo said. Also, Peters has a strong lacrosse program year after year.

Despite the loss, Delallo said the team was able to stay aggressive through the game and hold its own. Sophomore Emily Rauch was a standout for the Highlanders, scoring three of the five goals for the team.

“Even though it was a big loss, we definitely have improved compared to prior seasons,” Delallo said.

Peters scored 23 goals against Baldwin last year, Delallo said.

The girls next game will be against Upper St. Clair on Wednesday night.

“We need to play to our best regardless of who comes on the field,” Delallo said.
