The girls varsity 400 meter relay team will be making a splash at WPIALs again this year as they qualified on Friday night.

The team is comprised of seniors Jordan Fediaczko and Kaleigh Varney and freshmen Leah Revo and Nicole Kosco.

Different girls have participated in the event throughout the season, but this group of girls hit the WPIAL qualifying time with seconds left to spare.

The same team earlier had qualified for WPIALs in the 200 meter relay.

Fediaczko and Varney tried to keep the team focused throughout the year and especially through the chase for a WPIAL qualifying finish time, Varney said. The team is looking to make a large impact at the WIPALs this year.

“I am sure we can do great,” Varney said
