The boys basketball team concluded its season over the weekend with a pair of wins: a big section victory Friday night against Bethel Park and a final win Saturday night over Seton LaSalle.

The Highlanders were trailing by two points with under a minute left at Bethel when senior Nick Fiumara hit the game winning three-pointer.

“Nick made a huge shot to win the game,” junior guard Christian Barr said. “Then our defense shut them down and the buzzer sounded.”

The Highlanders finished their section season at 5-7, with an overall record of 12-10 after a win against Seton LaSalle on Saturday.

“We were down 11 points early on, but we made a big comeback to win comfortably,” Barr said.

Baldwin ended the season with an 8-2 record in their last 10 games. Unfortunately, the Highlanders were unable to clinch a playoff spot.
