The name of this relatively new doughnut maker refers not to a hot dog condiment but to savoring a delicious treat. Given the quality of their product, the name is accurate. Relish is a unique pop-up doughnut shop that makes appearances in various locations throughout the Pittsburgh area. They specialize in providing 100 percent vegan doughnuts to local markets, events and businesses. Relish only makes yeast doughnuts, which means they come out of the fryer golden and in a doughy, perfected form. They’re light and airy, but are chewy and have a slight yeast flavor. The doughnuts are cut and fried by hand daily. All of their signature doughnuts are full of vibrant, colored icings and sometimes filled or topped with fresh fruit. Also, they are constantly updating their menu with new plant-based flavors. Relish doughnuts are sold at a variety of locations, varying by week. To find out where the doughnuts can be found on any given day, the website www.relishpittsburgh.com provides a schedule of where they will be on a weekly basis.
