Boys basketball team wins against Connellsville
The team will be more experienced next year, with every player returning for the Highlanders.

The boys basketball team won both of its games this weekend, bumping the team’s overall record up to 6-8.
On Friday the Highlanders beat Connellsville, 48-35, and on Saturday they scored 62 points to defeat North Allegheny.
Junior Shane Gilbert said overall the team played very well together.
“Senior Mike Goga showed a lot of leadership and positivity. It helped our team out a lot and kept our spirits up,” Gilbert said.
The boys team face Peters Township this Friday and is hopeful to come out on top.
“We expect to win, and we are trying to just make playoffs at this point,” Gilbert said.
