The boys basketball team earned a comeback victory over Keystone Oaks on Tuesday, 61-55.

The game started with the boys falling behind, ending the first quarter down 18-10.

“We usually beat Keystone Oaks, but this year they were a lot better,” junior Shane Gilbert said. “We really had to come together as a team to beat them.”

Gilbert said seniors Nick Fiumara and Jeremy Jenkins kept the team going.

“Both guys were making three-point shots when we really needed them,” Gilbert said. “It really helped motivate the rest of us.”

The team now stands with a 3-1 record in the section. Gilbert believes there is a good chance for them to make it to playoffs.

“All of the teams in our section are good,” Gilbert said. “But if we keep playing like we are, we have a chance.”

The team’s next game is on Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Upper Saint Clair.
