Both the boys and girls swims team are building positive vibes following a big win.

The swim teams won against Carrick High School on Tuesday night, with Baldwin swimmers coming in first, second, and third place in all events they competed in.

“Even though Carrick has a small team, they can still compete competitive,” senior Jordan Fediaczko said.

Fediasczko said both the girls 200 and 400 relay teams took first place. Also, freshmen Nicole Kosco and Dylan Stokes both came in first in the 500 freestyle.

Junior Sophia Altavilla came in first place in the 200 freestyle, and senior Kayleigh Varney came in first place in the 50-meter freestyle.

With the teams gaining confidence because of their two wins in a row, their spirits are getting better and everyone is looking forward to the rest of the season.

The swim teams’ next meet is on Friday against Seton La Salle.

“This meet is going to be very competitive, but hopefully we can come out with another win,” Fediasczko said.
