The varsity inline hockey team won 5-2 against Upper St. Clair on Sunday.

Junior Nate Hobson and seniors Marc Cardillo and Joey Starr all played well and scored, senior Scott Borman said. Starr tallied two goals en route to the victory.

Borman was not surprised by the result.

“We expected to win,” he said.

Senior goalie Noah Knerr performed well, Borman said. The team has counted on him and he has not backed down from the challenge.

The win brings the team’s record to 8-1-1 for the season.

Baldwin now is off until after New Year’s Day. The team’s schedule is released month by month so even though they don’t know who they will be playing next, their mentality remains the same.

“We can’t let off the gas,” Borman said.
