The Baldwin girls varsity basketball team suffered a tough loss in a rivalry game to Mount Lebanon on Thursday night, 47-36.

Coming off of a close win at Mckeesport, the team had hoped to carry the momentum into the Lebo game.

“It showed us we need to play 100 percent the entire game,” freshman point guard Anna Lucarelli said. “We can’t take time off.”

Despite the loss, senior Abbey Larkin had a good game driving to the hoop alongside senior Michaela Cavataio, who also played well, Lucarelli said.

“We need to pick each other up more,” Lucarelli said. “We’ll win more games if we play as a team.”

The loss brings the team’s record to 1-3 overall.

The team’s next game is Monday night at Gateway.
