    Sophomore donation helps Humane Society

    By Kelly Rojtas

Many clubs and activities raise funds to pay for their own programs, but this year the sophomore class did more.

In addition to raising money for class events, the sophomores also raised money for the Humane Society.  The class donated $500 to the Humane Society on Monday.

This money went to the Adoption Angels fund, which helps pay for urgently needed medical expenses for the animals.

“I just felt that it was really important that we give back, and the kids jumped on it,” sophomore class sponsor Virginia Pfatteicher said.

This money was raised through bake sales throughout the year.

David Janusec, executive director of the Humane Society, came to the school to pick up the check and show his appreciation.
