Before the Oct. 7 SAT Testing day, students were notified of an exact date in which they would receive their test scores.

After the test in October, College Board decided to change the way of releasing the SAT test scores. This new change was made with the intent of releasing scores faster, but this change has caused confusion and frustration to arise in students.

Instead of having a set day to receive the scores, the College Board has created a six-day window in which scores will be uploaded. Unlike the AP test, there is no list of how the scores will be released. With the AP tests, the scores are released on specific days by location.

With this new system, the College Board said it will email students when their scores are online and ready to be seen. However, students can pay an extra fee and receive their scores by phone on the day the scores are released.

Today, the six-day window period begins for test scores to be released and all scores should be up by the next Thursday. For those who took the SAT with the essay, the essay score will be released on Oct. 31.

This new format will be carried out for all future SAT test days for this school year.
