The Baldwin boys varsity hockey team lost its season-opener 3-2 to Greater Latrobe Monday night.

Team captain and senior Nick Antonio said the team played well and “put in extra effort.”

Antonio scored one of the Baldwin goals, and sophomore Paul Zmuda scored the other.

Antonio said he hopes to help the younger players and to inspire them to help them become better and make it to playoffs.

He said he believes that if the team keeps putting in the effort they did Monday night, they can make playoffs and win the championship.
