The girls volleyball team continued its undefeated season with a 3-0 victory over section rival Bethel Park Tuesday night.

The team knew it was an important match as they see Bethel as one of their tough opponents and the match closed out the first half of their season.

“We knew they were going to be tough to beat. They were, but we were excited and anxious to go up against them,” senior Bri Phillips said.

The team saw many standouts including junior Mackenzie Meis, sophomores Allison Murray, and Anna Baloh.

“They worked hard and went after every ball. They were determined to not let a ball hit the floor,” Phillips said.

The Highlanders’ next match is against Peters Township Thursday night at Peters.

“They are not as talented as Bethel, but we cannot underestimate them,” Phillips said.
