The girls volleyball team completed back-to-back sweeps by defeating Canon-McMillan on Thursday night.

This win made the team 4-0 on the season. Senior Bri Phillips discussed the strides the team is making early in the season.

“All the sets were close, which shows the maturity of our team,” Phillips said.

Juniors Kerri Herron and Kenzie Meis stepped up to contribute to the big section win, Phillips said.

“Kenzie has great serves, and Kerri had good net play,” Phillips said.

The Canon-Mac sweep followed an earlier sweep of Upper St. Clair. The team heads to West Allegheny Monday for a non-section match.

“We treat every game as preparation for WPIALs, no matter if it is a section game or not,” Phillips said.
