People may think the girls volleyball team is due for a rebuilding year, but so far the results say otherwise.

The team had a big win Thursday night against Upper St. Clair with an overall score of 3-1.

Senior Bri Phillips explained that the team played good defense.

Phillips said junior Mackenzie Meis and sophomore Allison Murray have really stepped it up this year.

Phillips said she likes being the underdogs.

“It gives us a chance to surprise people and show them who we are,” she said.

“I am really excited for the rest of this season,” Phillips said.
